Hi there, I’ll be back soon to write more(in the middle of moving) but I’m so sorry for your loss and send some hugs to you and know you are not alone. I feel deeply for what you are going through. I’m a caregiver to my mother and deal with multiple chronic illnesses, primarily Crohn’s disease. These things really stack up emotionally no matter how resilient you are. Battling seeking help and and then the stigma that goes along with that can be challenging when you have a medical issue that doctors want to blame on a mental health issues. During a very stressful time I had severe chest pains that were waking me up at night and a very high heart rate when I moved around- doc wanted to blame the stress- after several ER trips they finally did a CT and found a blood clot in my lung. Luckily my PCP trusted my judgment and ordered the test. However I get chest pains now from stress that sometimes scare me so it’s a balancing act. My pcp left and I have yet to find another that I feel as comfortable with. It’s really trial and error finding doctors that trust you and can
openly discuss both mental and physical health without judgment, which can take time. I definitely think it would be worth it though to do therapy to process the grief and loss. Do you have any hobbies or creative outlets?
