Hi all,
I have returned to healing well after long absence.I have been not well and got different issues bothering me.
My new psychiatrist says I have Schizophrenia/bipolar as I was hospitalized under influence of alcohol/drugs ,someone spiked my drinks.
But now I am sober and not addicted to drinking .
I know it’s a long story but that’s it for now.

Welcome back good to hear from you but sorry to hear you are having a tough time.

Pleased to hear you have got sober that should improve things. Use your self help skills to help with anxiety or have a look at our resources for a recap.

It is so nice to see you post. I am usually on the depression forum but come here now and again. You have taken some huge steps to get well. I am sending healing vibes and a ton of compassion to you. Keep continuing to move forward. Stop in to depression if you feel like. We would love to have you posting there. Take care my dear. Again it is good to see you post. Keep hanging in there...

Hi Cilly and welcome back!

I am sorry that things have been difficult for you...but am so glad to see you reaching out and taking steps to get back on track! Well done!

I saw in the weekly thread that you are back on a daily Rx and Vistaril for panic as needed. This sounds like a solid plan, and one that will hopefully be just what you need in order to manage things well.

Once you have leveled out I hope that you can have a re-evaluation with your P-doc to get an accurate dx now that you are sober. I think this is important for accuracy, and to know how to continue treatment.

Hi Cilly - I'm back after some time as well. Glad you're back for support though. I'm starting back on lexapro and used to take vistaril.. I see a new PCP next month so I'm hoping they'll be able to help me level things out as it's not been great lately. I need to ask about the vistaril.

Thank You all for a big welcome.Your love and support keeps me going .My new diagnosis is a big shock for me and I m in denial and don’t agree with docs.
The hospital bill is killing me.Have no health insurance.
Anyways I m eating my pills and exercising daily.
Struggling at the moment ,but taking one day at a time.
My apt building manager is bothering me since now he knows I am disabled(mentally).Pplcan be mean once they know disability I don’t understand why.
I recently lost a friend who was taking advantage of me -funny thing is he himself is disabled and talked to him about myself a lot still he has no empathy.wow

Lots on my plate but just venting ,,,sorry .

I really do encourage you to get a second opinion on your diagnoses. I think the fact that you were under the influence at the time (or detoxing which can cause great variations in our mental state) had a lot to do with you receiving that dx.

Please do try and get a second evalutation if you can my friend.

I believe that the Chat rooms did not make a return appearance with the new formatting. They were not well attended or moderated (I for one did not have time to moderate here AND there) and were fraught with some issues that just made it easy for Admin to not want to continue with them. I am sorry. I know that those of you that did use them really enjoyed them...so I feel for you. I do hope that you'll continue to post with us though! We will keep you in support in this format too.

Cilly, I think it's great that you're no longer addicted to drinking. Overcoming something like that is a big accomplishment. Not everyone can do that.

Such a great group of people on this site. It’s good to know that there’s others who can relate and be sympathetic towards folks who struggle with health concerns. I’m thankful that I found it.
