Psychotherapists believe in changing negative, irrational beliefs that their clients with mental health issues have with more positive, rational beliefs.
And one topic many counselors talk about during therapy sessions is about mind reading.
For example, some people who have issues with getting along with others, or some of those who have problems with relationships with others, think they know what other people are thinking, perhaps about them, whether it be folks in their lives whom they know well, or people that they hardly know.
Therapists point out that you can't read other people's minds. You don't know what they believe. You don't know what they're thinking.
Interesting.
What do you think about mind reading? Have you heard therapists talk about mind reading?
