So I have not had the genetic testing for cancers, BUT, I did have a colonoscopy for random GI issues and turns out that while totally unrelated, I had the type of colon polyps that would likely become cancerous down the road. Here is the excellent news!! I now get a colonoscopy every 3 years and my GP and GI docs said that this is so proactive that now if any little polyp forms, it gets removed and I will likely NEVER end up with colon cancer! Schedule your first colonoscopy and you are good from there!
