Hi bedwedge
Your doc seems to be treating it as a TIA(Transient Ischemic Attack) with the aspirin. If you should have any re-occurrence, however slight, don't hesitatate, seek emergency treatment immediately. TIA's are often warnings of an impending stroke.
I also had Bells Palsy(about 25 years ago) but I don't think there is any connection. Bells being a nerve condition, either viral or trauma induced, while a TIA is caused by oxegen starvation(blood flow) to part of the brain, usually caused by a narrowing of the carotid artery.
I had anxiety/panic for thirty years and although this may lead us to believe we have various illnesses the real thing is usually quite different. IMO yours is not anxiety although stress could be playing a part.
Is your doc doing any other tests?...cholesterol, blood, ultrasound etc.
Do you have any family history of diabetes?
Please remember everything above is my opinion or personal experience only, I am not qualified, you doctor is.
