Klonopin or Ativan for anxiety, experience with these?

To those who take Klonopin or Ativan I have a question.....I am considering requesting either one or both of these to see if they help me....I was given both when I was in the hospital for 8 days, but never really considered taking them for a daily use...

I can't recall the side effects or how they make one feel....Do you mind talking about these types of meds?

I take .5 mgs of Ativan and it does make you a little drowsy. I take it twice a day, along with my lexepro. I've heard Klonopin is good too as my sister takes that "as needed" with her lexepro.

I take valium as needed and feel guilty doing it. It's so stupid though if you're only taking the drug as needed and it makes you feel heaps better there really is no problem.

I take between 2.5 and 5mgs of valium 2 to 3 times daily probably around 4 to 6 times a month depending on how severe the anxiety is hitting.

When the anxiety is really high I find the 5mg of valium doesn't make me sleepy probably cause I'm so wound up it just helps to control the mood.
