perimenapause

   Hello, I am a 50 years old female, I have had symptoms of perimenapause. They haven't been to bad, until lately. I have a big problem with crying. I cry for not reason and when I start crying I have a problem stopping. It is very irritating. I have hardly ever shown my emotions. This is really becoming disrupting my life. Is there anything at all that I can do to help stop it. I also feel unappreciated or needed, like my life is useless. Please can anyone give me some advice.

Jeank - I am 47 and experiencing the perimenapause thing too. I also have had times in my life when I have dealt with depression and anxiety. Both of the depression and anxiety were due to emotional issues in my life that I was not dealing with honestly at the time. I understand that the crying can be related to the perimenapause but I encourage you to explore the emotional side of things. Repressing our emotions can have powerful effects on our lives and unexplained, uncontrolled crying was a serious symptom for me until I was able to be more honest with myself, take charge of my life and make some positive changes. If you feel unappreciated and a think your life is useless I would start there. Fink a therapist that can help and support you with these things. A good therapist is a gift to oneself and worth every minute and penny.
