  Ok ladys I need your help, I need to buy my wife something for christmas I try to get her somethig that will hold it's value (like native art works or some ivery(sp) carvings) but $$ a little tight this year, now perfumes are out because I can't handle the chemicals in them so please help me out here.

A gift certificate for a relaxation massage at a spa is nice. They usually run from about $45-$100 depending on where it is. I had my first one a couple of months ago and enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I have bought collectables (and paintings) off of e-bay as you can find older pieces for a good price, not all are good prices though so look around. Hope this helps some, someone else should be along soon to help.

Does she have any hobbies?
I like gardening and reading so I really appreciate things to do with them.
You mention art , would she perhaps like something you had done yourself or maybe art materials so she could persue her artistic side?

Does she like jewlery?
One year my husband got me a cyrstal heartshaped trinket box and on top on the heart is an area made of gold and he had it engraved for me. I told him one time I wanted to be his centerfeild long before he ever got this for me, so imagine my surprize when he had it ingraved : To My Centerfeild With Love

It was so personal, I loved it so much and I still have it. He got alot of brownie points that year

You could her something and ingave a meassage that only makes since to you and her and then it become priceless!

I think anything you give will be appreciated but as above posted IF she is creative and likes doing crafts or artistic things buy something she can spend time on and do herself seeing what she can accomplish
A hand made Card would be the greatest thing as well with words from your heart
You are a special guy you can do it

Hobby lobby is such a wonderful place, i dont know a woman that can go in without finding something cool, they have tons of things for creative minds, and i want to say, kudos to you for asking and putting so much time and thought into a present for her, shes lucky ;)

Get a wish list from your wife, or somehow exchange gift ideas. Being a lady and an individual who appreciates many things that will hold value, I would suggest a beautiful throw blanket or chenille bedspread etc.....You could check into an Antique shop for possibly a suitable item that will hold value, and fit your price range too. And, there's always Ebay, just a click away.........I'm sure you will find something special for her.

Ok hun the one of the best gifts I got from my hubby for christmas was an cerimic angel a few years ago he typed up a small note and tied it on her arm saying (I asked for an angel a few years ago and God sent me you. We might have lost some feathers along the way but I will always pick them up and save them because you will always be my angel). Still after 15 years of being together everytime I pass my angel it will still make my heart go pitter patter. Good luck on your search but no one knows you wife like you do.

I have an idea too. How bout a not-so-practical gift for practical Alaska? In my opinion you can't go wrong with a cashmere sweater (you'll pay some bucks for this though). Most women don't own a cashmer sweater (the good kind). I don't and would never buy one for myself but it is the softest material you'll ever feel. Buy it in her favorite color.

 Wow you all have some great idea hears, we been together now for 21 years on the 12th of this month (now that's a long time putting up with me lol) I was thinking about getting a coat with wolfs on it she real likes wolfs but I real like the idea of something that I can have on engrading done on I think I'll look around some of the store here oh yea and I'm taking her to one of those resorts with a spa in it and dinner for the night for are 21 years of marriage.

 Oh and real ivory you can buy and own here in Alaska

 Thank again you really have some great ideas make's my job a lot eazyer I just like giving her one thing that she can past on to are kids.
