I'm glad to see that there are others here who know about Claire Weekes. So many of the newer techniques don't work for me nearly as well as her books do.
Geljoy, I, too read and re-read her books all the time. I always find myself and what I'm feeling in her words, and they give me such comfort. I have been getting out a little more with the help of her techniques as well. I wish you a wonderful, peaceful trip to Manhatten today...how I would love to see that tree, but being that I live in Minnesota, I don't think that's going to happen. Have a great time and let me know how it goes! Could you also share with me where you downloaded her tapes, I'd be very interested in doing that as well.
Janetlee, I hope your book arrives soon. I think you will find comfort in her writing and in the fact that she seems to cover whatever you are going through. I've started writing page numbers on the inside cover of the book as reference to sections that are of particular help to me. My only suggestion is that you read it more than once. I've read them dozens of times, and still find new gems that help me each time. Please let me know how you like her book.
Alwaysanxious, we sound like we are in the same place right now, I'm in a setback and re-reading the three books I have. My books are also yellow with age and a few pages are torn a bit from use, but they are still what I always turn to for a little comfort and reminder on how to deal with anxiety.
Thank you to all who responded, I hope we can keep in touch and share our experiences with these wonderful books.
