anxiety sufferers can have problems when having to stand in a queue or line, the feeling of being trapped or detained makes things worse
the legs can shake, you can go weak at the knees, wobble , etc
firstly remember claire weekes slogan,
float, dont fight
do not tense up the muscles and fight back, instead do reduce the leg muscle tension so they can only just support your weight
relax, stand easy , dont stand stiffly to attention
stand with feet apart and keep moving your weight from one foot to the other
it helps to 'mark time' by moving your toes up and down in your shoes as if marching on the spot
soldiers are taught to do this to avoid collapsing when held standing stiffly to attention on parade
practise the above suggestions at home
