Muscle tension is probably my worst anxiety symptom. Although my anxiety is pretty much at bay and I'm nor longer on medications ( I was on Effexor, still take Klonopin every now and then when needed though), my shoulders and neck are continously tense. My only suggestion to you is what worked for me in the past: keep getting those massages!!!!!!! If you can get a massage for half an hour at least every other week just for your shoulders and neck I really think it will help. Also, excercise helps too, even just some light stretching for half an hour. I really try to do the stretching thing (Pilates helps me quite a bit). I have no idea if Cymbalta has muscle relaxant properties, if it truly does, then I would consider going back on medication. Not only does my muscle tension obviously hurt my shoulders and neck, but it gives me massive tension headaches about
once a week. I would be curiuos to see what others on Cymbalta have experienced.
Personally, I'd try anything to make my shoulders feel like jello!!! :)
