tongue  Cowboy Up I kinda like being alone too to just be with self and have no one disturb my thoughts or get into my head ya know

Explore the wonders in the world and there are still plenty of those

I wish I was where you are away from the noises ( yep even small towns have em ) and noisy ppl lol

Relax take all this time to enjoy as much as you can be well CU

Can you believe this is now at number 4 ......... yeah

  I was just kind of thinking of the good old days, I was allways doing something, had the old jeep and when't fishing or hunting and camping all the time with my buddy or by myself. Now don't get me wrong I could not just get up and go like that again but was more thinking about spending sometime going up the the hills and doing some hunting with the snowmachine and snowshoes and get a wolf or two as the smaller rivers are still frozen over and make for an eazy trail riding back into the hills, was just thinking about going for a few days to a week now that I got sometime alone to do this just need to get my buddy up and tend to the critters here at home. But boy do I really miss going hiking on the old trails as a kid and fishing the high lakes with waters that were so clear that you could pick out the fish that you wanted.

I so hear ya on this one I really do miss those days as well and wish I could just go back to them
Simple but so calming quiet and beautiful peaceful days of our past how I miss them..........no worries back then eat the good berries chaw on the long grass it was the best lay on the ground and make pic or characters outta clouds ya know

  Hi Lyn ya it was a long night I was just getting ready to shut off the puter and hit the old sack and just had this feeling that I should check out the forum, I'm glad that I did and was so happy that you where on line at the time to help out and I'm really thinking about what you asked me

Hey all! Hope all is well. Got into the upper 20's today!! Even took the horses blankets off for a few hours. Been a busy week - trying to catch up now!

Got to 10 degrees today... - my second night of sobriety... feeling better than I was last night...

I went to check out a rental house today but it was sooooo incredibly small and so overpriced.. it was maybe 850 square feet and the guy wanted $1,100 for it. How demented.

Time for the busy week to start.

  Glad to here you are all right Twiggy and thanks but WOW 1100.00 for that around here you can get into places for free during the winter months just have to pay your utilaty (sp) and on top of that the state pays you to live here with the PFD from the oil money every year as we get a share of it and I'm glad for your sobriety I know that's got to be hard even I have to kill the pain that way.

  Karan you sure do spoil them horses lol, so are you still planning on doing some riding this year I sure do hope so. On a bad note I had too put two down today sad for a friend as there feet had been bad for sometime now.

Kind of funny I just got the DVD of (Escape from Alaska) lol and going to play it now talk later

dave- maybe I should move to Alaska then... considering it LOL... if that's the case anyway

It is SO expensive to live here... and the cost of housing to even BUY a home is ridiculously expensive.

I'm getting a plane ticket and once I get there I'll buy a Subaru Forester LOLOL

1100 for aplace wow I pay 565 everything included so I dont pay utilities ..........that is nuts .......

if it makes ya feel better i am in a 2 bedroom apt and pay 975 a month plus utilities and im currently living alone

Rent in our area is about what Michelle pays. We've always had an influence from the NYC people coming in, but since 9-11 it's been unreal. Wish they would influence the salaries here too but they all commute to the city to work! Makes it really hard for the locals and us long-time transplants!

Dave - never used to spoil them, but it helps me worry less! My "young guy" is 17 yrs old! The new guy is 20 and has always been stabled (I have a 2-stall "lean-to" set up with free choice in and out). Its gonna be up near 30 again today so the blankets will be off again til tonight. Plus they are really light-weight blankets... Sorry you had to put down your neighbors horses - thank God it wasnt yours....

Twiggy - glad you are feeling better. Read thru the thread and all 3 of you did a great job!!!! You really turned things around Twiggy with some excellent help from Dave and Lyn. Keep the momentum going girl!

  HA Ha I got you all beat on the rent/owning thing bought my land cheep 9 years ago as there was not much around here at the time and built a 2000sf home on it with a shop and barn and the only real bills I pay for are power, oil and phone and I got a small 3 bedroom cabin on the kenai river that I got from an old friend back in nov of last year as we are like her only faimily here though not boold related and she didn't want her kids to have it since they have nothing to do with her and they would have just sold it off as they live in the lower 48

I prefer the "country", but dont know if I could take the isolation of where you are Dave! At least I imagine it is pretty isolated... Some of worst panic attacks have been during bad snowstorms when my husband had the 4wd and I felt like I wouldnt be able to get out if I needed to! Now that I work for my Township, I can just radio one of the plow trucks in an emergency! (never need to tho!)

I'm definitely gonna ride this year. I'm determined to work off some (alot?) of this extra weight and riding has always helped. Plus I figure the little guy thats basically been on vacation the last few years wont be able to do TOO much as we get started (with all that weight on his back lol!)

By the way, has anyone heard from Rock lately? Been missing his inspirational posts....

  Lyn I seem to be having a problem with my end on the e-mail part and I'm looking into it now but I think that I may just give it a go on that part will try Peter

  Hope that all is fine with you and Cait but it dose's sound like you have a bad cold (I think I can hear you from here lol get better soon will ya)

I am coughing sneezin head is pounding and basically feel like crud......
But then I am doing great otherwise keeping the faith and so pleased Cait has a Host home while in Toronto with a young lady from there going to same program got all her info yesterday was so overwhelmed she was crying but she's my Cait and she will get thru it and we layed in bed last night while I got a lesson on all my parliament members and from what [party they are from it was quite interesting but I am sure I am in for chit this morning when she gets up fell asleep whilst she was reading I will tell her it was the cough medicine lol

  My wife updated the puter and mest up the email part pretty good but I got it all work out now

  I'm a little bit on the down side today A friend of are's that got my kid into the 4H horse riding club there horse got out and broke his hind leg today on the ice. That's 3 I had to put down in a week's time now (Why do they allway's call me to do it?) sad
