cymbalta

Hi;

I am wondering if anyone can give me some feedback on taking Cymbalta.  My doctor has suggested I take it but am worried about side effects.  So has anyone taking it gained alot of weight?  Constipation???  Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

if its expensive for you I would try a cheaper antidepressant which likely will be as good

if you can find any antidepressant that works for your anxiety it will help a lot and side effects are generally worth living with

no one can predict what, if any side effects you may have, they usually stop after a few weeks when and if the med starts working

Cymbalta works much like Effexor XR (at higher doses) and is similar in side effects. Like any antidepressant, it is effective, but everyone is different in how they do on it. Unfortunately, like Effexor, it can be very difficult to wean off due to its short half-life.
