Strange deep sleep and dreams??

Does anyone taking antidepressant meds have a strange deep trance like sleep?  I am on Cymbalta now for 2 weeks.  It is helping, but I am sleeping ALOT which I hope goes away.  When I am sleeping I am very deeply asleep and I have wierd vivid dreams.  I also twitch and jerk around with my arms.  Sometimes I wake myself up doing it.  Meds are so wierd.  Can anyone relate?

yes, that happened to me when i started taking zoloft. that is because you are actually sleeping well and getting to all the sleep stages.

strange vivid dreams that can wake you arer common with all antidepressants, they do no harm

if an antidepressant makes you sleepy then take it just before bed

They said I'd get "vivid dreams" with Klonopin but I didn't see much of an increase. I'm kinda disappointed in that! I love dreams. The weirder the better! I swear I become David Lynch when I go to sleep sometimes.

No but when I did the cold turkey withdrawalk off clonazepam I was thrashing around, moaning and talking in my sleep all things I don't normally do.

I find with the avanza I go into a really deep solid sleep for at least 6 hours and then if I wake I go straight back down again. At the beginning I was sleeping 14hrs straight now I can function on just over 8 hours.

Well, it's certainly listed as a common side effect.

  Hi aquarias

  I love the vivid dreams and when I see that I'm having one I tend to go with it and have found that I can change things around in a way that I'm the one that can win the game of these dreams nomader how vivid they are.
