Hi all, don't know if you remember me. I was on about
six-eight months ago with horrid depression and anxiety. I got on prozac and found a part time job and started feeling so much better. Things are still crazy as far as my hubbys job goes, but dealing with it.
I did, however, just find out that I have breast cancer. I have posted on that board, but am very worried about
the anxiety and depression coming back now. I can feel the anxiety already and it's only been a few hours. I have been up trying to keep myself busy and that helps.
Hope everyone is well.

Dear Suzy,
Hello I am Kitt and I am glad to meet you. I think you have every right to be anxious about
your diagnosis as it is a very legitimate fear. I would dare to guess everyone here would feel as you do.
Please don't assume your falling back into a deep hole, your mind is reacting to the words, cancer. Many times we do very well with the major problems only to lose it to small ones. This would count as a major stressor.
I am glad your posting in Breast Cancer as they have a wonderful group of people but remember your part of all the Healing Well family and keep posting here.
Gentle hugs and I will say a pray for you.

well you have a right to be stressed and I am sure the next few weeks will be the hardest as you come to grips with everything. Try to stay strong and remeber the group is always here to listen and help if we can. I too will say a prayer for you and your family.
God Bless!

Thank you both for the thoughts are prayers. My mind is on such a roller coaster at the moment, from one end to the other. I know everyone probably says this, but I never thought this would be happening to me.

Thanks Lyn. Today is a new day. I know I will have many ups and down through all of this and I'm not going to let it get the best of me. I have told the majority of my family and that has helped with some of the anxiety I have been feeling.

I hope that you are well. I have family and friends with breast cancer. The stress is coming from finding out about
that. Once you calm down and try not to think about
it so much. Which will get easier as time progress. I wish you the best of luck. Just keep taking your medicines and you will be just fine.

Prozac is a wonderful thing. I would hate to think about
the shape I would be in without it. I went down the dark road of depression and anxiety before and I know that I don't want to do that again. I'm staying up beat, heck at times I feel like I'm handling this better than everyone else. LOL I am not just trying to focus on the days ahead and things I want to get done before I have the MRI done.
I know everyday won't be handeled so well, but it's one day at a time.

If nothing else this does help switch my focus from what was causing the depression and anxiety, just when things get calmed down a bit, something else comes up.
Lyn, I emailed you.
