Machelle,
I've always had a fear of taking any medication, so I question not only my doctor extensively, but the pharmacist as well. I used to feel like a lunatic asking all kinds of questions, especially about drug interaction, side effects and possible allergic reaction. Now I don't have a problem, it's my body and I have every right to ask questions about what I'm putting in it. If a doctor or pharmacist doesn't like it...too bad, it's part of their jobs. I guess I'm getting more bold as I get older. Don't worry about what they think, you have to feel comfortable enough to take a new medication, that's what's important...plus if you think about it, doctor's are so darn busy these days that they probably don't give it a second thought since as soon as they walk out of your room they are dealing with someone else!
