Drinking and Lexapro

Anyone out there think that if you drink while on the first couple of weeks of Lexapro it may slow the time it will take effect in your body? I drink wine every night and i was just curious cause I want the Lexapro to work as fast as possible.

I have read in several places that drinking while on Lexapro does infact take away from the drug working. I have also read about people saying they had bad reactions, such as blacking out, and other things like that. I would suggest you try not to drink while taking Lexapro, or any prescription drug for that matter.

I believe that all of the ADs advise no alcohol with the meds. Bad combo.
