Paxil Vs. Lexapro

Can anyone tell me the major differences between paxil and lexapro? I was considering going on paxil for gad and some mild social anxiety and mild ocd, but I'm worried about the side effects, especially the sexual side effects (I'm a 21 yr old male). Does lexapro generally accomplish the same things as Paxil? Any info is appreciated!

lexapro has sexual side effects too, but paxil didn't do much for me, but lexapro has been a miracle drug to me, and i will never go off of it. I absolutely love it and won't switch to anything else!

Hello,

You will find many people that do well on Paxil and others that do well on Lexapro. You should discuss all your side effect questions with your physician as each person will react different to meds.
