Ok... my doc... sorry to put you a little out of sorts.. but said that nicorette gum CAN make you a wee bit anxious because of the nicotine in the gum...
honestly I'm going to recommend Chantix.. which is a prescription medication that I have known MANY chain smokers of 20+ years of smoking to have GREAT success with.
If you don't have health insurance... just understand the Nicorette may put you a bit on edge.. but probably not more than any normal anxiety....
although I can't be sure.. because Nicorette has never made me more anxious than smoking a cigarette..
I want to quit.. but I had an allergic reaction from the adhesive in the patch and the gum just doesn't work.
I pray the gum works for you.. if not... seriously try Chantix.... it is supposed to block the addictive receptors in the brain and stop the nicotine from being able to go to that part of the brain cuz the Chantix blocks it..
*hugs*
Quitting smoking is tough but you can DO IT!!!!
If you quit... I'll quit with you (I'm a 2 pack-a-dayer smoker.. EEEEEEEEK)
