First, a big thank you to everybody who's responded so far with your kind words and suggestions. Reading these boards and writing out some of my feelings on here is a big release during some of these episodes, and helps me relax a bit.
I've also been doing some research and I've come to the conclusion that I may have Generalized Anxiety Disorder. In a brief convo with my doc, he confirmed the symptoms and said it was a distinct possibility. I have terrible anxiety every three months or so to the point where I just want to hide in my bed all day and watch the news or sleep, and the rest of the time, while I'm mostly ok, I have underlying anxiety about
certain things.
I will be making an appointment with my doctor for early next week to(hopefully), finally get diagnosed officially. I've been told they're going to need to run tests to make sure I don't have hypo-thyroidism etc.
Has anybody else had to go through this, and if so, how was it and what have you done to cope following now that you know you have GAD?
Again, thank you all for the shoulders to cry on!
