I am in this boat as well, although I haven't tested my kids. I know now that I was infected during the pregnancies however. It's so hard to know what's normal kid stuff and what could be a symptom....
How negative was your Igenex western blot? Did you have positive or IND bands?...
I've had that happen with a deep tissue massage years ago, not sure if I had Lyme then or not but I suspect I did. Literally like I had the flu for about 12 hours....
There are LLMDs who take insurance. It might be a 6 hour drive to get there, but that might still be a good option for you to pursue....
Praying for your sweet little one Delmar! I have an 18 month old baby boy so it hits extra close to home....
Have fun tonight :)!!...
I get that vibration feeling as well, and it's worse when I'm stressed or sleep deprived....
Oops sorry, just saw you're update...
Please get to a LLMD. My symptoms flared postpartum as well, and eye floaters are a big symptom for me. You and your LO likely need Igenex testing....
YES!!!! OMG this is one of my biggest symptoms that clued me into lyme as I researched. I used to have one or two floaters every few months. Over the course of a month or so, it increased to almost...
I always question myself because I don't have fatigue or brain fog. I think it's so individual based on what strain of Borrelia we have, what our own body's weaknesses are, etc....
Hopefully he'll become a LLMD, heaven knows we need more!...
I'm so glad to hear he's home and doing better than excited!...
Nope CDC and Igenex negative but with IND on Lyme specific bands 34 and 39, and a strong +++ on band 41 so I'm pursuing treatment....
I'm not sure if this is helpful or not, but I used to be vegan for animal rights reasons as well. I realized nutritionally I needed meat, so I found local sources where I can meet the farmers and...
I got mine from Amazon....
Livers are amazing and resiliant. I would not worry that the drinking you did caused permanent damage, especially assuming that you've had LFTs tested....
My hips will pop when I walk. My shoulder blades and ribs creak and crackle when I stretch my arms overhead. It's all relatively new so I'm assuming it's Lyme related....
Busride- forget the GP. Be your own advocate and get yourself to a LLMD soon....
Just FYI, chiropractors can sign off on Igenex testing. That was the route I went instead of dealing with my PCP. You might try that if your doc doesn't want to test you. If it were me, I would...
I'm definitely questioning it. Every symptom I have is on the master symptom list, but really what ISN'T on the master symptom list of Lyme and co?? My Igenex test was negative but with some positive...
Vcast I wondered about Candida, but other than sugar cravings, I don't really have other symptoms like bloating or vaginal yeast infections. I'll definitely ask my LLMD about it though....
Why are you on the Plaquenil? Is it for an autoimmune issue or babesia? I am on no meds yet so it definitely isn't that. It happened last January but went away after a month. Now it's been going...
I itch. There's no rash or redness, it's on my scalp, arms, and torso primarily. It's much worse at night and I rarely notice it during the day. Anyone else? Is it Lyme or a coinfection? It's not dry...
LymePickle I technically tested negative as well, but with IND on a couple Lyme specific bands and positives on other bands, so...negative but clinically not negative. Mine is similar to yours,...
Some days it's just hard to wrap your head around the enormity of this. ^^^^ this exactly Traveler. I've been researching symptoms like neuropathy and autoimmune disease and diets/treatments for a...
I guess this is part of my denial phase, but I keep wondering what if everyone would test positive or IND on lyme specific bands? Of course, we wouldn't be testing without symptoms, so we likely all...
Oh I'm near Little Rock, Arkansas :)...
Thanks! I'm seeing the LLNP CL (this is absurd that we must be so cryptic!) in Collierville on Oct 22, because Dr. C in Tunica can't see me until January and I don't want to wait that long to begin...
My band 18 was IgM positive and IgG negative. I'm finding conflicting info on it as well....
How are you feeling today?...
You can do this Traveler! The herx is killing in the works. The herx is killing in the works. lol that's my pep talk cheer for ya :)...
That's a good question. I developed petechie in labor with my son, and I bruise very very easily....
I have appointments with these 3 over the next few months. Does anyone have experience with these docs?...
Kids don't show symptoms, the only things I would say of concern are my 4 year old has "growing pains" which the more I read often indicate a higher propenisty for something like fibro later in life....
It's just frustrating that negative doesn't always exactly mean negative, especially when dealing with elusive symptoms that doctors seem to think are in my head anyway. Now I'm like "I know this is...
So Trav, because I really value your (and everyone else here who takes the time to help others) opinion, does this look like I have Lyme to you? *disclaimer your not a doc and not diagnosing yada...
That +++ on band 41 really concerned me. It's basically Lyme or syphillis right? I just called a LLMD but they can't see me until January....
IgG Negative IgM Negative IGG negatives on all bands except IND on 34, 39, ++ on 41 and 58 IGM negatives on all except IND on 39, ++ on 18, +++ on 41 ad + on 66 I am too overwhelmed to think clearly...
Congrats! It makes me happy to see someone resolving neuropathy symptoms as those are my main symptoms....
I have this symptom. My EMG/NCV studies are normal but body parts are constantly falling asleep. It's very annoying....
Thank you all. My husband is very supportive, but with working and 2 children, there's not much time to rest and regroup. I'm hopeful that physically everything will pass on it's own and my body will...
You need to have a different Lyme test. I would send off to Igenex....
Ugh so I am still waiting on my Igenex results, but I'm in the middle of my 2nd miscarriage in the last 4 months. In May I miscarried at 8 weeks, and now I'm 6.5 weeks. I have 2 healthy chidren, so I...
Delmar, I think rowingmom mentioned it but you might look into the Autoimmune Paleo Protocol by Sarah Ballantyne, as well as the Wahls diet/protocol by Terry Wahls. It targets AI issues specifically...
I have been thinking about you and your husband. I'm glad he's out of ICU. Continued prayers your way....
It is common for steroids to make Lyme symptoms worse, because they are immunosuppressants. Your body is working hard to fight the bacteria, then the steroids knock your immune system down....
Labcorp won't draw it. I had luck with my local hospital. They have a lab on the first floor that charges a $30 drawing fee, and then they drew the blood, spun in centrifuge and gave back to me. I...
Just sending some support your way nervousmummy. I'm barely pregnant, almost 5 weeks, and had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in May. I have lots of Lyme symptoms, still seeking a diagnosis. I have a 4 year...
I would go to the ilads website and email them and ask. I received some recs that way....
