http://www.lowdosenaltrexone.org/ Have you seen that site...
It’s quite chilly here. I guess we’re getting a late summer. We went to Hawaii end of March for our son’s wedding. So it seems even colder here....
We usually have about a week or two that our house gets very hot…. So we don’t bother with the portable air conditioners. On those days we go for a dip in the cold lake in the late afternoon to cool...
Maybe do a couple more months of the Tafenoquine - just to be sure it’s not going to help. Then go on the dapsone protocol....
Thanks Dude...
Bringing this thread up - any news/updates about Dr J?...
I’m so sorry you are suffering! When I was on Dr J’s “Bartonella/Persisters” protocol I had harsh herxes. One was so bad my husband was ready to take me to the emergency room. I had head and body...
My ND (who I saw first before I was diagnosed with Lyme) recommended LDN because I had sleep issues. I went to a compounding pharmacist and he gave me a really low dose. It didn’t help my sleep...
I “took care of” the post....
Can someone buy some Epsom salts? Having warm baths took the edge off the burning pain on my back. I bought lavender - which smelled wonderful. It was temporary relief. At one point I had three...
I’ve heard of it. You’ve got specific lyme/bart bands showing up on the western blot - that is more important than the Elisa...
I for one - did not see it. I do not read all posts EVERY day....
One of the most experienced LLMD - Dr Jemsek went to Ireland to share his methods of treating Lyme and co-infections with Dr Lambert several years ago....
Definitely! I had Bartonella - my herxes were extreme when I was on the abx for it. I would have a high fever and all over body pain. My head hurt so bad - I couldn’t concentrate on anything. My...
You can start a new thread: “Looking for LLMD in or near —————-“ Fill in the blank with your city and state or province if in Canada or US … or city and country if you’re in Europe....
Yes, it does sound like a herx. Don’t hesitate to go to the emergency room at the hospital… and they can monitor you there....
Those test results are “enough” to support a Lyme disease diagnosis. Do you have a a Lyme literate dr to treat you?...
Welcome to our forum, Kyle. Do you have … or think you might have Lyme disease?...
Azithro will not treat Babesia - unless an antimalarial is added (ie Mepron or Malarone..) I don’t know about sulfamethoxazole - is it considered an anti malarial?...
I just unlocked it - I wonder if you can get into it now? Or just the Mods?...
When I was first diagnosed - I went to the only Lyme literate dr. near me. He was an LLND and although he could prescribe abx - he wasn’t licensed to prescribe Mepron or Malarone (the strongest...
I did not! This was one of my big concerns all along. My llmd said lts wait until my blood test results come back. He tested for some thing for babesia, not sure. G6 something whatever. Feel like...
I had a tick on the top of my head soon after I walked under some maple tree branches. It hadn’t bit me - so far as I know… I think I had some leftover abx and took them for a week...
I was able to get in (possibly Mod privileges??)...
Haven’t heard from you in a LONG time. We would appreciate an update....
The Prostate forum is as busy as Lyme. Also Ulcerative Colitis is busy too...
Welcome to the forum, Colin. I just popped on for a few minutes. When you have time - take a look through the post at the top of the page “New to Lyme…Start Here”...
It reminds me of what happened to my son. When he was a toddler we noticed he would get tired easily. Just running around in the back yard - he’d be out of breath. Then I noticed his hair was falling...
Found this: https://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=30&m=4228372 ...
You’ve come SO far! Give yourself time - When I first healed I was scared that it would all come back. But over time I am getting confident that I am healed. Life is good again!...
Bump...
I remember you, Hoagie! That’s great that you’re doing well! I am in remission - All symptoms gone - except my short term memory isn’t as good as it was pre Lyme. My “regular “ dr told me that the...
Did you treat for Babesia? ie Mepron ?...
My LLMD had me take the Mepron for several months (with antibiotics ) before he prescribed the Rifabutin (similar to Rifampin - same class) and discontinued the Mepron. The Rifabutin/Rifampin can...
This is a really old thread - you may not get a reply. Jinna hasn’t been on the forum for a long time...
Welcome to the forum, skippy....
I think I’ve been on here since 2014 So 10 years?...
This is the thread I was looking for : https://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=30&m=3562412 ...
Just thought I would post this. It’s a thread with success stories. https://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=30&m=2991497&p=2 ...
My husband splits his thyroid pill into three pieces and takes a piece three times a day. He doesn’t tell the Dr - he just does it. He feels better dosing that way....
Thank you WalkingbyFaith for posting this....
My husband decided he would order thyroid meds from AllDayChemist. They don’t insist on a prescription from the dr. As you know - my husband is on thyroxine and lab tests show he is in range. BUT he...
I haven’t had any problems lately...
Both my LLND and my LLMD would consider those results “enough” to back up the symptoms being Lyme disease. Bands 39 and 93 are specific to Lyme - meaning no grey area....
Sorry, I can’t help you, MedicalNerd - but this will bump your post to the top for more views...
Thanks! Maybe I’ll be a grandma one day - lol!!😆...
Welcome to the forum. You have a few Lyme “specific” bands - 39 and 93 - meaning those bands will only show up for Lyme disease. Please search for a LLMD to get proper treatment....
If you’ve been ill for a couple years a few weeks of abx will likely not be long enough to make you feel better....
Welcome to our group, Leonardo. You can contact ILADS for suggestions https://www.ilads.org/patient-care/provider-search/ ...
I am in remission. I successfully got rid of Bartonella, lyme and possible Babesia (not sure I had Babs but was treated for it.) My daily life is great - I am back to working - picking up shifts...
