Hi David, Thought I'd pop in last night and the first person I thought of was you. You were and are still an inspiration to all on here. I remember some while ago that I thought your Pca journey was...
Many thanks Steve, will reply to his last post....
As above its been a few years since I've been on here. Just been living my life as normal as possible. But I was just wondering how forum member Purgatory is. Does he still post here, how is he?...
Thanks for your reply Mattam. At this stage I'm not too concerned and will see what the level is in 6 months and if necessary will see the Oncologist....
I've just had my yearly PSA test - a rise forthe 4th year in a row ,from - 0.02 - 0.04 - 0.08 - 0.16. I spoke with my Consultant today and he said that it was not a cause for concern and not to...
Thanks Wilderness, agreed, it's not the same outcome for everybody but always good when there's a positive. Cheers, Chris. Stixandstonz, thanks for reply. Not sure if I've dodged diabetes just yet -...
Hmm, 145 views and not 1 reply! I thought it was usual for folk to pop in from time to time with info or help for others and not having to post all the time. Have I said something wrong - broke some...
Haven't been on here for quite a while but thought I'd pop in with some info for guys newly treated with SRT. Although not the same for everybody the increase in bowel movements after salvage...
Thanks, I'll mention these to the Radiologist. Chris....
Hi Allen, thanks for your reply. No I haven't seen either. As I understand it, after 2 years from Salvage Radiotherapy there will unlikely be any more improvements to side effects. Apparently, there...
Hi all, haven't been on for a while as I just try and get on with life as normal as one can make it. However, I've been having some irritating problems for a while now. Which are more frequent bowel...
Why not give it a try Chuck, it might work for you. As I said before, been using T-gel for years and don't use any other shampoo at all. Good luck, Chris....
I used to have psoriasis on the scalp pretty bad. One Doctor prescribed salicylic acid - apply to affected area before going to bed, leave overnight and wash out in the morning. It's not very nice...
Thankyou so very much fellow Brothers and Sisters of Healing Well for all your kind words. We are all in the family going to be strong for Clair on her Wedding day and treating it for what it should...
It is with much sadness that I have to report that my Brother passed away this morning at 5am. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in March this year and because of other health issues - a nasty and...

Hello David, I haven't been on much here but have kept up with your recent progress. So pleased that you have found this "Specialist" who seems to be right in your corner for you. I'm always amazed...
Anfidelmar - is the name of a Timeshare Complex - Anfi Del Mar, that my Wife and I owned from '98 - 2008 in Gran Canaria. It's a fantastic place to enjoy a relaxing holiday, being a 5 Star Gold Crown...
Thanks JAV, Will certainly give them a try. Chris...
I had my 3rd follow up appointment after radiotherapy last Thursday and I'm pleased to report that from 0.10 in August my PSA has reduced to 0.04! That extra zero makes all the difference - not far...
Silverlace, So sorry to hear of Jerry's passing and offer my sincere condolences. Thank you for sharing. Remember, you have lost your man, but no one can take your "Memories of Jerry" away from you...

Hotrod, good luck and best wishes for a speedy recovery. Lie back and let the anaesthetic do the work... and the Surgeon of course! You'll be up and about before you know it, and will expect an...
Just been reading your blog Alf, up to, or back to when you started RT. I found it quite interesting how the side effects are similar to mine. Having to plan days out always having to think about...
Hi, I've popped over here from the Prostate Cancer forum. I've had psoriasis on the scalp for over 20 years. When it first reared its ugly head the Doctors couldn't decide how to treat it. Was pretty...
That is great news KF and no need to say what the next target is. I don't know too much about HT, only what I've read on here so I have a question. What are the expectations when you stop taking HT,...
Really nice to hear that you had a good time David and you were able to "Enjoy". That tour of the inner ship sounds interesting, and one that I would have taken for certain. Chris....
My Wife was taking our 3 year old Grandaughter to school - it was a dressing up day and "Holly" was dressed in a pretty Princess outfit and should of had a hat to go with it. On the way my Wife said...
Hotrod, You already have a significant advantage over myself and plenty more folk on here had, you have found this site to help with probably the most difficult decision of your life. Add to that,...

Really pleased to report reduced PSA level from last check up - 0.34 down to 0.10. Next appointment in 4 months time so hoping for further reduction! I was only in the follow up appointment for about...
I'm no expert but think you have every reason to be hopeful with your relatively low number pre radiotherapy. Comparing my numbers - at .67 before radiotherapy down to .34, virtually halved....
I don't want to be negative on this but my first PSA after surgery was 0.07, and the next was 0.27 and then 0.57 so had to have salvage radiotherapy. Hope your next 2 PSA tests are lower, as they are...

I had a call from my Brother this evening with his diagnosis of a cancerous tumor in his bowel. Even more worrying was the result of his MRI scan - a spot on his lung! Although he was quite upbeat...
Good luck Rodger, all my digits are crossed for you for a good result. From a fellow Englishman. :-) Chris....
Congrats on your zero result - but no need to feel guilty. I doubt there is anybody on here that would begrudge you a zero! Chris...
I noticed this on a few bulletins here in the UK. But they seemed to be focusing on early stage Prostate Cancer and how there will be fewer side effects. Chris....

Good news, you will soon be down to scratch, er, sorry, I mean zero!!!!...
Good to see your team working for you, as always. Chris...
I see PSA as not so much a number but more a monitor or indication of well being. It's a bit like a golf handicap, you want it to be as low as possible, down to "scratch" as they say in the golfing...
David, I hope your rehab sessions are of benefit to you, and the term, "Use it or lose it", comes to mind. So look forward to reading about many more and your strength building as you continue. My...
