I personally think UC is genetic, but do believe many of the factors listed on this poll can get UC symptoms to rear it's ugly head. I've had IBS symptoms since childhood but didn't have UC symptoms...

I have been scoped while flaring too. It wasn't pleasant but it also wasn't anything compared to all you go through while you're flaring. I agree with Old Hat...pamper yourself as much as possible...
For a few days after the infusion my bm's are as close to normal as they get for me. Wish they'd stay that way! :)...
