small update here... took the Glipizide last night... this morning my fasting Glucose was at 143. And now 3 hours after breakfast I am at 269....
maybe try to taper in 5mg increments instead? Btw as a side question how many weeks were you on the pred before the bleeding stopped? I am now starting the 3rd week but bleeding in the night still...

My guess it is the iron you are taking. I started low dosage 18mg yesterday ...so far so good. You could try some turmeric and Ginger too. Look for other changes in diet and timing of your medication...
