You can take Tylenol, but if it's only at 99 I wouldn't be too concerned about it....
pb4, maybe it expanded to that through the thread lol. I just thought the OP wanted to know "normal", so that's what I based my post on....
We are talking normal though, not in a flare. If you are only on liquids and crapping like a horse, you are in a flare....
One key thing I haven't heard anyone talk about is how much and what you are eating. The more often you eat the more often you should be having a BM. IF you get crazy and eat some Indian/Thai/etc...
Remicade works great for me, been on it since September 2013. I feel fine during the infusion and fine afterwards. I'm not worried about the side effects, which I have none so far....
Cars, bowling, tattoos, music...
The Twilight Zone...
I don't have any side effects from the azathioprine. Been on it since September 2013....
1. Did u have option, which one to pick? if so why did u pick that perticular one? My GI highly recommended Remi for my case. It has been proven to work for years. 2. Do you take 6mp or imran with...
Not for me, been on Remicade since Sept 2013...
I'm confused, you say Remicade is not working, yet you say you are in 99.99% remission. Can you clarify how the Remicade is not working?...
DBwithUC said... Gary is right, not exactly the same because the HD was a time-release version. But it would be the same grams of mesalamine. Insurance companies do things. Generally to maximize...
I see you are off of prednisone...did the symptoms get worse once you stopped taking it or were tappering off of it?...
How much are you getting every 8 weeks? 5/7.5/10 mg/kg?...
Don't know how I feel about it LOL. How long has he been practicing?...
I used to drink nothing but beer in my early 20's, then I switched to hard alcohol. Whiskey is my drink of choice, then tequila and vodka. I also drink wine. None of these drinks cause me any issues....
Since Obamacare started my insurance now only covers my Asacol HD at 50%...I can't afford to spend $250/month for this drug. This article kind of makes me angry, knowing that unless some manufacturer...
Remicade is working good for me right now, but it is always good to hear about possible options if it does stop in the future....
I'm 30 and just started last September. I'm not suffereing any side-effects, it seems to be working really well for me....
I've been on Asacol HD for 6 months now with no issues. I had severe muscle cramping when I tried Lialda....
Remicade has worked great for me, been on it since Sept 2013. No diet or alcohol restrictions for me, but again, everyone is different. Whiskey is my main drink, but I also drink scotch, tequila,...
4 days on first stay, was discharged (which later my doctor told me I shouldn't have been), then less then 2 weeks later was back in there for 13 straight days....
Congrats, glad Remi has worked so well for you. Hope it continues!...
I've had 6 infusions so far (started Sept 2013) and I continue to get better with each one. There was a noticable difference after the first 1, then it just became a slow healing process. I would...

Agree with Andrina and Old Mike. Working those hours will throw people off who don't have UC. The added stress to your body of going back and forth on schedules is not a healthy one....
I guess I'm lucky in the sense it doesn't knock me out like that. I'm still at 10mg/kg every 4 weeks and I feel great the rest of the day and the next too after my infusion. I call it liquid crack lol...
TotesMagotes said... Hi all, Some random questions I always think about. 1. How do you know if it's left sided lower back pain...or your colon...or your back pain is related to your colon?? The pain...
Been on Remicade since Sept 2013, still doing 10mg/kg at 4 week intervals while trying to taper pred. I believe we will do 1 more 4 week interval and then go to 6 weeks and see how things go from...
I'm a little confused as well. When did you go from 40 to 20mg of pred? Lack of sleep can lead to stress and stress definitely isn't good for your UC. Why aren't you taking Asacol HD? Lialda?...
Many of us are taking probiotics and doing just fine. Some people might have a bad reaction to one brand but are fine with taking another. Also the count matters. First I've heard that it might be...
I've been on Imuran since September last year, not concerned with being on it. I like feeling better and this med is not causing me any side-effects like the Prednisone is....
Pretty good survey...
Sounds like Crohns to me. I don't know why your doctor wouldn't know that....
Just have to try it for yourself. I eat shrimp and lobster with no issues....
Remicade seems to be working for me, no side effects yet from it, been on it since September 2013....

Haven't dated since being diagnosed last August...I find it easy to be upfront with my friends though so I'm thinking I would bring it up around the 4th date or so if the conversation permitted and...
I have no self control over eating when attending a party like this...might as well take Monday off of work and get the soups prepped....
I did the normal 3 loading doses at 10 mg/kg. Then when waiting to do my first 8 week dose (@10 mg/kg) we were also tapering off prednisone at the same time. Things took a turn for the worse so we...
1) did imuran work for you? I think it is, I'm also on Remicade, Prednisone and Asacol HD 2) how long did it take to work? My improvements were right away due to the other medications I'm on, but I...
I'm currently on 10mg/kg Remicade, 40mg Prednisone, 2400mg Asacol HD and 100mg Imuran....

quincy - you eat popcorn? do you have any issues with it? I thought popcorn was a huge no no....
Yup, everyone is different. I got my first dose while in the hospital and my family noticed a difference in me by the next day. I'll be getting my 5th dose this Friday and things are still slowly...
