Hi all! I would love to be around more, but two puppies, full time work, full time school and lots of travel mean I have to pick and choose what few extras get my attention right now. Did I mention I...
I wore a looser sports bra to work for the first two weeks back. It was not entirely comfortable, but its manageable. I had one incision just below the band to my bra but it was small and covered....
Hey David, I was wondering how you were doing. It has been awhile since I checked up on you! Sorry to hear that you are still having some trouble swallowing. I agree about waiting on the dilation....
:-) Hi everyone! I have not been around in awhile. I had my nissen August of 2013 just a few months before my 30th birthday. I am just fine now. I can eat *almost* anything pain free. I say almost...
Generally any kind of pain killer like an NSAID or even opiate can cause even more stomach problems like heartburn and ulcers. I know full and well how much the burn hurts and I even took percoset I...
Hello All! I wanted to check in and let you all know how well I am doing. I have had no heartburn or reflux since my surgery. I do have the ability to belch still on occasion, I notice it more when I...

Thats good! Im so glad you have had success. I hope it just keeps getting better for you...
I am so glad you updated. Honestly this flu season I have had nightmares about noro. I am so terrified of having to throw up so while I am not glad at all it happened to you I am really thankful that...
I saw my surgeon and about two weeks later I was scheduled for surgery. It was wonderful to not have more time than that to think about it, but I was able to post my inital post here and get...

Ha, I went to California for a few weeks and went MIA. I feel like I have been gone forever from here. Travel went pretty well. I was afraid of riding in the airplane, but other than the usual...
Hi there! I thought I would check in one last time. This thread is really long and if you want me to start another one, I can totally do that too. Its been about 6 months for me since my surgery!...
Hey! I am glad that you are doing better, but I am disappointed by all the problems I hear you are having. Have you considered getting a second opinion yet?...
If it was just a one time kind of thing, then I wouldnt worry, but if it happens again it would be a good idea to have an ENT scope you to see if your heartburn has caused any ulceration or anything...
Hmm, I was just thinking that deep in your sinuses it might have gotten too dry and bloody and it went down your throat instead of coming out your nose. So gross I know. Was there any pain associated...
Hi there Stockster! for me personally, in this dry winter air, I get nosebleeds occasionally at night. Sometimes, depending on the severity, it can end up in my mouth and throat. I need to make sure...
I hope you have a wonderful time Kitt!...
I can not find the paperwork, but they said I had 49 occurances of acid reflux and 44 of non acidic reflux with the longest episode lasting 124 minutes. That was on 2x daily protonix....
It is possible to have silent reflux. I had it for a long time and did not notice because my reflux was not very acidic. I only started having problems when my hernia reached a point to where I was...
Hi there! I actually had my PH test done while I was on PPIs. My score was still really bad. They will be able to tell when and how much you are refluxing even on PPIs My doctor kept me on them...
I do not think that belching in and of itself is dangerous, especially if you dont have uncomfortable bloating or any pain. What might cause you problems is if reflux is coming up with your belches....
If you are burping within seconds of eating or drinking anything and you have no other symptoms it really seems like the only thing it could be is that you are swallowing too much air with your food...
Hi Zeldagoblin How long ago was your surgery? I have esophageal burps all the time and I do swallow air when I sleep. It is sometimes difficult to tell if a burp is coming from the esophagus and if...

That core strength of a child will be around for a few months. I am about 4 months out from my HH and Nissen surgery and a few weeks ago started walking every day. Then a week later I added in arm...
I had my nissen back in August and for two months I felt all kinds of weirdness off and on with my stomach and diaphragm and insides. Its a roller coaster that is for sure. Especially early on you...
I only started to feel "normal" (aside from some gross bloating) in the last month or so. It really does take a long time to heal internally. I had nasty heartburn symptoms (feelings at least) even...
You are not overweight for your height, so I would not let that put you off from surgery. You may lose some after surgery, although not everyone does. I did not, but since surgery I have lost another...
